Iranian TV series to feature 130 actors

Iranian TV series on holy defense to feature 130 actors.

An Iranian television series on Iran’s holy defense featuring over 130 actors is set to begin production.

‘Ilda’ directed by Rama Qavidel is a 26-part series set to be one of the largest television productions on Iran’s 8-year war, known as the holy defense.

With filming set for the first week of August, the series will begin shooting in a village in Iran’s Lorestan province and will continue shooting in over 80 other locations.

Written by Noushin Pirhayati, the TV series will narrate the story of the brave people of western Iran during the first years of the imposed war and the selfless sacrifices endured by them during that period.

Starring in the film will be Majid Mozaffari as “Saleh Khan”, Khosro Shahraz as “Naseer Khan”, Fatemeh Goudarzi as “Da Gol”, Ali Dehkordi as “Dr. Houshang”, Jafar Dehqan as “Kakavand”, Rahim Norouzi as “Iraj”, Kazem Hajirazad as “Shir-Ali Khan”, Kourosh Soleimani as “Shirzad”, Amir-Mohammad Zand as “Farhad”, Mojgan Saberi as “Havir” and over 100 other actors including local actors from Lorestan.

Produced by Ali-Reza Sebt-Ahmadi, the star-studded series will also feature folklore music from Iran’s Lorestan region.
